In December, 2014 the City of Yorba Linda, CA  'adopted' Camp Pendleton's 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU) to encourage community support for these local Marines, Sailors, and their families.

The YL-11th MEU Adoption Committee was formed shortly after to coordinate community efforts to raise funds and collect in-kind donations that will directly affect 11th MEU personnel and their families.

Our Goal is to generate community-wide support for the MEU members and families, both on their home station, and also during deployment.  This support includes, but is not limited to, personal or family needs, providing social events, and creating goodwill for the service members throughout our community.  Committee members are all volunteers.
