On April 17, the MCB Camp Pendleton will be ‘thanking’ the civilian volunteers who support the Marines, Sailors, and families throughout the year with a formal ceremony and lunch on base.

The 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit was created on April 13, 1979 on MCB Camp Pendleton. The city of Yorba Linda acknowledges and celebrates every April 13 as YL 11th MEU Day.

The Yorba Linda 11th MEU Adoption Committee will be helping the Saint Martin de Porres Knights of Columbus serve BBQ hot dogs and burgers to the 11th MEU Command Element to commemorate the YL 11th MEU Day.
