THE COMMITTEE

The Yorba Linda City Council adopted the 11th MEU to assist the personnel and their families in times of need, and to provide social activities to help relieve the pressures of demanding training, and to ease the stress for families while loved ones are on months-long deployment.

The Committee was formed to embrace and deliver the City Council’s vision. Committee members are not all from Yorba Linda, but each has unique talents and experiences to share, and a sincere desire to serve. All members freely donate their time and talent.

Except for some minor fixed expenses, all donations are used to assist members of the MEU, especially single Marines and young families.  We also support the MEU by providing financial support for back-to-school supplies for the children, activities and gifts for Month of the Military Child, the yearly holiday parties for the Marines and families, the annual Marine Corps Birthday Ball, Family Day, Fall Pumpkin Patch, New Baby Baskets, and any support requested by the Deployment Readiness Coordinator.
