The Yorba Linda 11th MEU Adoption Committee was honored to receive a generous invitation to attend the Orange County (CA) 1st Marine Division Association’s USMC Birthday Celebration. In addition to some impressive guest speakers, the event included a fabulous BBQ steak lunch with all the trimmings.
Lunch was followed by the ceremonial cutting of the cake with a USMC sword.

The Committee was represented by Linda Queen, current Committee President, Linda’s husband Michael, and Director Bill Scarberry.
Mike and Bill were thrilled to attend the celebration, as both are Marine Corps Veterans.
Two members of the local Young Marines Program were among the invited guests.

In USMC tradition, the first two pieces of cake are presented to the oldest and youngest Marines in attendance.
It was a wonderful afternoon, rich in Marine Corps Heritage and Comradery. Semper Fidelis
